Kim Atkins, Founder and President of Atkins Research Global, has been named by the Insights Association as Chapter Volunteer of the Year for 2022. She received the honor during the Awards Dinner at IA’s Annual Conference in Hilton Head, SC, on April 25.
A longtime IA Chapter volunteer, Kim consistently goes above and beyond in her service. She has been instrumental in developing and implementing plans to increase the Chapter’s visibility and reach in local communities, including organizing numerous networking events and establishing relationships with local universities to develop mentorship programs.
“Kim has proven to be an invaluable leader,” commented Alice Butler, Senior Vice President at M/A/R/C Research and IA Board Secretary and IA Chapter Committee Chair. “Kim served as President of the Southern California Chapter in 2021 and while that is normally a one-year term, we needed her leadership the following year as IA merged the Southern California and Northwest chapters to form the West Chapter. Kim stepped up to serve an additional year and was instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition.”
“That’s what Kim does,” added Charlene Darko IA’s Director, Chapters & Councils. “She’s there when you need her. Kim has been a strong advocate for IA and devotes time to recruiting new members. She has contributed so much in helping grow the West Chapter and positioning it for success in the future.”
