Rep Data Adds to Leadership Team

Rep Data, a full-service data collection firm for quantitative primary research, continues to expand and strengthen its leadership team with the hiring of Steven Snell, PhD, senior vice president of research. Steven has an extensive background in brand, product, employee, customer and marketing research and leading research consultancies. At Rep Data, Steve will lead, build and execute original research for clients. He will focus on brand tracking; product and concept testing; and lead thought leadership to establish industry best practices.

Rep Data has seen tremendous growth since its founding in 2020, growing its team to 60 people and serving 400 clients globally. The company most recently secured $6.5 million in Series A funding in November of 2022, accelerating the company’s core vision of improving respondent data quality and furthering its vision of making the market research process more efficient, accurate, and reliable. Steve’s hiring follows the recent hire of Anna Pezzulli as senior vice president of sales and the promotion of Joel Nelson to senior vice president of sales in April of this year.

“Rep Data is hyper-focused on elevating data quality for researchers,” said Patrick Stokes, founder and CEO of Rep Data. “Having Steve on the team helps us accelerate our vision and better support our customers. Steve’s experience conducting research and building and scaling research consultancies at some of the world’s leading brands allows us and our customers to ensure we are delivering research that is trusted and sought after.”

Steve will report to Ryan Rothe, Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to joining Rep Data, Steve led the research center of excellence at Goldman Sachs and led research consultancies at Qualtrics and Duke University, advising hundreds of B2B and B2C, academic, nonprofit, and  government clients.

Steve's expertise in survey and market research includes questionnaire design, concept and product testing, segmentation, experimental design, brand tracking, and longitudinal research. He holds a PhD in Politics from Princeton University and attained further training in survey methodology as a postdoctoral fellow at the Initiative on Survey Methodology at Duke University. Steve is a member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research and AAPOR's Pacific chapter as well as the Market Research Council, where he serves on the executive committee as Secretary/Treasurer.
