Smarty Pants announced it has added Czarmyne Jo as “Research Prodigy.” Jo supports the agency’s flagship healthcare clients on qualitative, quantitative and mixed-method initiatives. She also plays a key role in
the expansion of the firm’s IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility) expertise.
Jo is an honors graduate of California State University, Long Beach, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and was a member of Psi Chi International Honor Society. She also served as a research assistant responsible for meta-analysis coding at the university’s Wax Lab, an interdisciplinary lab that investigates workplace diversity issues. Her work focused on special populations, situation awareness, usability, access and the experience of marginalized communities as consumers and employees.
Jo later held an internship in Usability Testing and Instructional Design at SkillsCommons – an online library of support materials for workforce development. She created wireframes, populated resources,
conducted usability screening and optimized the site’s navigational hierarchy and functionality.
Jo began her post-academic career in the gaming industry. At Southern California Card Rooms, she supported the Director of Gaming Operations and various management teams in a position that included collecting, aggregating and maintaining confidential company and player data, providing financial and asset security, and documenting operations for Department of Justice compliance.
Prior to Smarty Pants, Jo expanded her project and stakeholder management skills as a real estate closing specialist. She played a critical communications and documentation role at the nexus of home buyers, agents, loan officers, attorneys and compliance professionals.
On Jo’s hire, Smarty Pants Insights Sage Molly Jackson comments, “From daily project management to research design and execution, Czarmyne is already having a significant impact on client business. We are
thrilled to add her smart contributions, meticulous nature and positive attitude to the Smarty Pants team.”
Jo is based in Long Beach, California, expanding Smarty Pants’ West Coast footprint.
