The U.S. insights and analytics industry grew 7.8% in 2025 to reach $89.3 billion, expanding at more than twice the pace of the broader U.S. economy, according to the newly released 2026 State of U.S. Insights & Analytics Report from the Insights Association.
Beyond the strong topline growth, the report reveals an industry undergoing significant transformation as artificial intelligence, automation, and technology-powered analytics reshape how organizations generate, analyze, and apply insights.
Among the report’s key findings, Digital Data Analytics has become the industry’s largest segment, accounting for 37% of total U.S. industry revenue. At the same time, the continued expansion of ResTech — technology-enabled solutions transforming the research and insights process — means it now represents nearly half of all industry revenue.
“The U.S. insights and analytics industry is in a position of strength, but the bigger story is transformation,” said Anita Watkins, CEO of the Insights Association. “As AI reshapes how organizations generate and use intelligence, our industry’s greatest opportunity is to ensure every decision is grounded in trusted, verified, human understanding.”
The report provides a comprehensive assessment of the size, composition, and direction of the U.S. insights and analytics industry, along with expert analysis of the forces shaping its future.
It also features the annual Top 50 U.S. Insights & Analytics Companies, recognizing the leading companies by U.S. revenue, as well as the Top 25 Insights Association Member Companies.
This year marks the 52nd anniversary of the Top 50 list, continuing a longstanding tradition of identifying and recognizing the organizations driving growth, innovation, and transformation across the insights and analytics industry.
In addition to industry rankings and market data, the 2026 report examines how AI, automation, evolving client needs, and new technology-enabled approaches are changing the competitive landscape and the work of insights professionals.
