Gongos Appoints Ishak VP, People Strategy

Alfred Ishak has been named Vice President, People Strategy at Gongos, the North American arm of InSites Consulting. The move is aligned with the company’s commitment to nurture its growing and diverse talent base, build out its human-centric consultancy, and continue to focus on advancing its diversity, equity, and inclusion program, an initiative Ishak has shepherded for over two years.

As Vice President, People Strategy, Ishak will be responsible for bringing the voice of the people to company leadership, evolving the corporate culture, and enhancing the vision for company wellness, among other imperatives. He will oversee a team that is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, retention, compensation, employee relations, and succession planning.

“While not on the traditional path of a human resources professional, Alfred is the natural choice for us to fill this seat on our People Strategy team, as for years he has developed not only our new talent but has had a hand in recruiting across our brand strategy, implementation, and design practices, to name a few,” said Camille Nicita, Managing Director, North America. “Beyond that, he personifies a human-first sensibility in all that he touches.”

Ishak has spent more than 11 years at Gongos in positions that span leading the company’s research and implementation associates, to directing its onboarding initiatives, to moderating and consulting on research and strategy projects for clients. Ishak is also the company liaison and active member of the IDEA Council, an initiative by the Insights Association that focuses on fulfilling a mission to deliver measurement, education, and standards of excellence to address the lack of representation in the insights profession and the populations it researches.

“I look forward to advancing our employee experience so that it continually enhances the customer experience for our clients,” said Ishak. “Creating an environment where people can thrive and be their authentic selves is a commitment that I very much share with our company’s leadership."

This move also comes on the heels of Gongos retaining Miami-based Equitas Insight, a consultancy which will help guide the company in assessing, enhancing, and expanding its DEI initiatives.

Prior to Gongos, Ishak was a Senior Research Analyst for ForeSee (now Verint) and Product Manager at the Handleman Company. His BS in marketing is from Wayne State University and post-graduate degree in digital communications from Michigan State University.
