The Global Data Quality Initiative (GDQ) has announced the release of three essential new resources designed to help practitioners and organizations safeguard data quality, strengthen procurement processes, and better understand evolving market perceptions. They join an expanding list of tools that provide practical guidance and benchmarking to support the global research and insights community.
Buyers of Research Services Procurement Guide
This guide offers buyers clear criteria, checklists, and quality signals to look for when evaluating research partners. It highlights red flags such as vague sourcing or unrealistic “fraud-free” guarantees and provides tailored best practices for B2B and healthcare research. By embedding GDQ standards in procurement, the guide helps ensure ethical practices, protect participants, and safeguard the integrity of insights.
Operational Guidelines for Research Participant Incentives
Developed in collaboration with global experts, this document provides practical recommendations for designing and managing incentive programs. It emphasizes fairness, transparency, fraud prevention, and cultural sensitivity, while offering guidance for both panel-based and project-based approaches. Proper incentive design is shown to improve participant experience, increase survey completion rates, and strengthen trust in research.
GRBN Online Sample Buyers Sentiment Survey (Wave 1, 2025)
This new benchmarking study captures how buyers perceive the quality, speed, and pricing of B2B and B2C online samples. Key findings show higher satisfaction with B2C than B2B samples, ongoing concerns about data quality, and mixed views on the role of AI in sample provision. The survey, conducted with support from GDQ association partners, provides vital insights for aligning buyer expectations with supplier practices across markets.
