Member Spotlight: Actnable AI Is Rethinking How Insights Teams Work With Data

Actnable AI is bringing AI-powered technology into the research workflows agencies and brands already use—with a focus on data quality, real-time insights, and turning information into action.

Research teams today face a familiar challenge: more surveys, more interviews, more customer feedback, and more data than ever. The real question isn’t simply how to collect and analyze information faster. It’s how to turn that information into trusted insights that help organizations make better decisions.

“Actnable was born out of the idea of getting AI/tech solutions to local/market research-native workflows and transforming the insight generation process to help agencies and brands equally,” says Dharmendra Jain, the company’s founder and CEO. “We have developed AI, SaaS and custom solutions that integrate with workflows and deliver measurable impact.”

Jain brings more than two decades of market research experience, including his time at Kantar and over a decade working in Africa. Based in Kenya, Actnable combines SaaS technology, custom solutions, and managed services to help research agencies and brands apply AI across the research lifecycle.

Actnable Qual AI supports qualitative studies from participant recruitment through online interviews and focus groups, transcription, translation, and analysis. Human transcript review helps preserve language, context, and cultural nuance. The platform includes a human review of transcripts to help preserve language and cultural nuance. Other tools address specific research tasks: Chat with Data lets users ask questions of documents, spreadsheets, images and videos; an open-ended response tool helps researchers code and analyze survey comments; and Actnable Neuro AI combines eye tracking and facial expression analysis for creative testing.

For Joe Jordan, Actnable’s North America lead and an insights industry veteran for over 25 years, the larger opportunity is what happens when these capabilities work together.

He sees significant promise in a “research intelligence platform” that brings insights from different sources into the everyday workflows of agencies and brands—not simply as another destination for reports, but as a more connected way to explore evidence and inform decisions.

“It’s very important to explore new methodologies such as communities, calling agents, and dynamic surveys, which enable a real-time stream of insights,” Jordan says.

As organizations look to accelerate research with AI, speed is an obvious selling point. But faster analysis doesn’t automatically produce better insights.

Jain identifies “data quality as the single biggest obstacle to better insights”. If the underlying information is incomplete, inaccurate, or lacks context, automation can simply accelerate the delivery of unreliable conclusions. The broader principle is clear: AI should help research professionals do more with their expertise—not make trust and validation afterthoughts.

Actnable’s approach combines AI-powered automation with opportunities for human review, particularly in qualitative research, where language, cultural context, and interpretation matter.

The company is also actively building synthetic data grounded in first-party data, with the goal of improving relevance and validity for their clients. As with any synthetic-data application in creating digital twins, the quality and representativeness of the underlying data remain critical.

Jain identifies “behavioral change while adopting innovative research solutions” as a key client challenge. For Actnable, addressing that challenge means involving client management, building organizational support, and integrating AI-powered tools into workflows that researchers already understand.

That emphasis on practical adoption reflects an important reality for the insights industry: As AI reshapes the industry, the opportunity is not just to do research faster. It’s to make research more connected, more continuous, and more actionable—without losing sight of the quality and human understanding that make insights valuable.

Actnable’s long-term goal is to become a trusted research technology partner to agencies and brands, helping teams combine established research practices with new AI-enabled capabilities.

Jain says joining the Insights Association provides Actnable with “market knowledge, visibility and credibility” as the company continues to develop its solutions and grow relationships across the research community.
