The Insights Association (IA) is pleased to recognize two outstanding contributors to the organization’s chapter community. Ginger De Stefano (pictured) has been named Chapter Volunteer of the Year, and the South Atlantic Chapter has been named Chapter of the Year.

Ginger De Stefano Named Chapter Volunteer of the Year

Ginger De Stefano was recognized for her exceptional service and leadership supporting the Central Atlantic Chapter during a critical period for the organization.

At a time when the chapter faced significant operational and financial challenges, Ginger stepped forward without hesitation. She dedicated extensive time and effort to untangling and correcting the chapter’s financial accounts – work that was essential to stabilizing the organization but far beyond what most volunteers would undertake. Through her perseverance and leadership, the chapter regained stability, restored confidence among its members, and successfully returned to profitability. In addition to addressing the chapter’s financial issues, Ginger also provided steady encouragement and guidance that helped keep the volunteer leadership team motivated throughout a difficult year.

“Ginger’s willingness to step in and take on such an important and complex challenge exemplifies the spirit of volunteer leadership that keeps our Chapters strong,” said Alice Butler, Senior Vice President at M/A/R/C Research, IA Board Chair-Elect, and IA Chapter Committee Chair. “Her dedication and determination helped transform a struggling chapter into one that is stable, confident, and positioned for future success.”

“Volunteers like Ginger are the life and soul of our Chapters,” added Charlene Darko, IA’s Director, Chapters & Councils. “Her commitment, resilience, and generosity of time made a lasting difference not only for the Central Atlantic Chapter but for the broader Insights community.”

The Insights Association also extends its gratitude and congratulations to the other Volunteer of the Year Award candidates nominated for their remarkable contributions: Rob Kaiser, PSB Insights; Katie Taddei, Qlarity Access; Jackie Fradin, Upshot; Lori Vernon, College of American Pathologists; and Katie Zipf, Toluna.

South Atlantic Chapter Named Chapter of the Year

The South Atlantic Chapter was honored as IA’s Chapter of the Year in recognition of its remarkable growth, strong programming, and commitment to expanding engagement across its region.

Historically one of IA’s less-active chapters, the South Atlantic Chapter has spent the past several years building a strong foundation for growth and engagement. In 2025, the chapter saw that momentum accelerate as it focused on expanding outreach, delivering valuable programming, and strengthening connections across its membership.

One of the chapter’s most notable accomplishments was leading the Future of Insights Summit, a major conference developed in partnership with the University of Georgia’s Master of Marketing Research (MMR) program and supported by Microsoft. The event attracted nearly 175 attendees and achieved a Top-2-Box satisfaction rating of 97 percent, while Net Promoter Score increased to an all-time high of 74.

The chapter also demonstrated strong financial and organizational performance, raising $36,000 in sponsorships for the conference and generating record profits while maintaining high sponsor satisfaction. Beyond the conference, the South Atlantic Chapter strengthened its reach through student engagement, professional development initiatives, and community service. The chapter partnered with the Insights Career Network to host a career-focused webinar for emerging professionals, expanded relationships with universities, including UGA and Kennesaw State, and organized a multi-city “Month of Service” supporting local food banks and community organizations.

Membership and visibility also grew substantially, with 81 new members joining in 2025 and LinkedIn followers increasing by 160 as the chapter expanded its outreach and marketing efforts.

“Our Chapters play a vital role in advancing the Insights Association mission by connecting professionals in their communities and creating opportunities for learning, collaboration, and service,” said Anita Watkins, CEO of the Insights Association. “The South Atlantic Chapter’s impressive growth and innovative programming are a testament to the dedication of its volunteer leaders and members.”

Added Butler, “The South Atlantic Chapter has demonstrated what’s possible when volunteers bring creativity, commitment, and strategic focus to building their local community. Their efforts this year have positioned the chapter for continued success and growth.”

“The chapter’s energy and momentum have been inspiring,” said Darko. “From professional development to service initiatives, the South Atlantic Chapter has shown a deep commitment to supporting members at every stage of their careers and strengthening connections across the region.”

Together, these honorees represent the leadership, dedication, and community spirit that power the Insights Association’s chapters and help advance the insights profession.
