The IDEA Council not only maps the path for progress in research practice and the insights workplace, but they also take active roles in research design, data analysis, report writing and presentation, and much more.

Damon is the Vice-President of Community & Culture at Burke, Inc. Damon plays a critical role in Burke’s Data Collection Division as he oversees the day-to-day operations involved in the execution of telephone research projects. He manages the execution of our Hispanic telephone data collection through our subcontractor partner network. In addition to his day to day responsibilities, Damon serves as Chair of Burke’s Inclusion & Diversity Strategic team called Kaleidoscope and serves on multiple teams within the organization.

Damon is continually involved in staying current in MR Data Collection and general industry knowledge by his active membership in the Insights Association.

He is a Board advisor of the Great Lakes Chapter of the Insights Association and serves as Chair of that Chapter’s Diversity and Education Committee which he formed during his tenure as President in 2014-15, and serves on the National Insights Association’s Chapter Leadership Committee and the newly formed IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access) committee with National IA . He has been a presenter at multiple educational conferences. Damon is a Graduate of the University of Georgia’s Principles of Marketing Research Certification Program. Damon is also a Graduate of Cornell University’s Online Diversity and Education Certification Program. Damon has been with Burke since July of 1996.

Damon has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from University of Cincinnati with a double major in Marketing and Management.

A senior executive at Sago, Escalent, and now Fieldwork, Scott has deep knowledge and experience working with Fortune 100/500 Brands for a variety of verticals, solutions, and methodologies over the years. Always working with clients to achieve their research goals, consider innovative solutions and develop long-term partnerships.

Scott began his career in the field of advertising before joining the research firm – Herron Associates in Tampa, Florida in 1991. In 1998 he moved to Los Angeles, California to join Adept Consumer Testing where he worked across many positions from Project Director to Vice President to several years as President before leaving. In 2014, Scott joined Schlesinger Group where his responsibilities ranged from overseeing West Coast Operations to leading the Brand Team and several key accounts before leaving in 2022.

Scott is highly involved in several professional organizations including the Insights Association. Over the years, he has served numerous local and national positions within Industry organizations and other non-profits. Currently, he serves on the Executive Committee for the Insights Association Board of Directors with a particular focus on National Events and DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) initiatives with the IDEA Council.

Scott is a graduate of the University of South Florida, with continued education from New York University, Loyola University, UCLA Extension, Burke Institute, and the Disney Institute. In addition, Scott is IPC certified (an Insights Association designation).

Nicole Mitchell

Nicole has been in the market research industry for almost a quarter of a century. Her career in market research began as a project director on Dynata’s telephone sample team, years later she transitioned to a senior project manager for online sample. Six years later Nicole became a member of Dynata’s Research Science Team where she conducts primary research projects, helps clients with research issues, provides internal and external training, and works to support Dynata’s sampling initiatives. She also participates in various market research industry initiatives and is a frequent speaker at conferences.

With more than 20 years in the insights industry, Sherri Dansby is the Director of Patient Experience at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Her focus is on improving the delivery of patient care and health outcomes for seniors. She has expertise in executing bespoke quantitative and qualitative market research studies and is passionate about using insights to drive business decisions.

Sherri has been active with the Insights Association for more than 15 years and served as President of the North Central Chapter. She's also a founding member of the IDEA Council and proud of the mission to advance diversity and inclusion within the insights industry. Sherri is also active in other organizations, enjoys traveling and is an avid runner. She has a bachelor’s from the University of Michigan and MBA from the University of Detroit-Mercy.

Adrienne Pulido

Adrienne Pulido oversees thought leadership and trends for U.S. Latinos and diversity markets at Kantar MONITOR. She has been designing and leading marketing research for over 30 years in the US and in Latin America. She has spent half her career as a research specialist and entrepreneur and the other half as a strategist and account planner in the advertising industry. Adrienne was a partner at an innovative cultural metrics firm and broke ground as the first Research and Account Planning Director of a U.S. Hispanic agency at Publicis, where she later served as COO. She was also Planning Director for DMB&B Américas, covering over 16 Latin American countries under the Publicis umbrella. Adrienne’s expertise covers the full spectrum of quantitative and qualitative survey design. She excels at developing culture metrics, utilizing cutting-edge tools and techniques, and transforming data into compelling narratives for strategic planning. A proud ambicultural professional fluent in English and Spanish, Adrienne holds an MBA and BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Claire Ferrari holds a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences & Human Computer Interaction, and a master’s in Interactive Telecommunications. With over 20 years in research, her work has spanned several industries. Claire has had the immense opportunity to engage in Research and Development work for Toronto’s University Health Network, the New York Public Library, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, Google's Creative Lab, 2U/edX, NYU, UCLA, as well as the Processing open-source coding community. As a Principal UX Researcher at Verizon, Claire has built and continues to lead the company’s Accessibility UX Research practice. As part of this work, she hopes to empower others to include people with disabilities in product design - pushing practices beyond compliance, and improving experiences for all.

Jason’s proficiency research methodologies ensures nuanced and insightful outcomes in both physical and virtual environments. Jason has extensive experience across a wide range of industries, including media and technology, finance, lifestyle, and healthcare. His work consistently informs strategic decisions in content development, marketing, and product innovation, delivering actionable insights for Fortune 500 companies. Jason holds a BA in Communication Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, an MBA from Loyola Marymount University, and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Marymount University. Certified as a qualitative researcher through the RIVA Institute, Jason also serves as Adjunct Faculty in the MA Communication Program at Johns Hopkins University. Currently, Kristina is part of the Research + Insights team at Microsoft, supporting societal impact and reputation research. She's very excited to serve as the IDEA Council's Co-Chair this year; helping to drive the awareness and adoption of inclusive research across the industry. Kristina lives in the PNW, sharing her home with her husband, 3 year old daughter Nollie, and Bernese Mountain Dog, Fritter. Outside of work, she likes to spend her time reading and training for triathlon and half marathon races.

The skinny version: Kayte collaborates with creators to host research topics with their communities. TSQ uses IG Stories Questions, Polls, and Quizzes in #PaidPartnerships as new engagement opportunities and revenue streams, and a new data collection method. The marketing research ecosystem is an 81 billion dollar industry that has barely scratched the surface of leveraging social media conversations in their insights and analytics. Kayte is also on a mission to introduce the concept of marketing research to the masses and is currently under contract writing her first book to allow others to peek into the MRx world.

Amy Santopietro currently serves as the Director of Market Research and Consumer Insights at Mass General Brigham, the largest healthcare system in New England. This role enables her to continuously stoke a passion of seeking new ways to infuse equity into market research practices. For the past year, she has been a volunteer committee member of the Insights Association North Atlantic Chapter DEI Committee, where she and three other members have a monthly podcast called DEI Matters: Inspiring Conversations that Matter. In 2024, she was elected to the role of Director of Memberships for the IANA Chapter. Outside of the professional space, Amy is a mom of two, and an avid runner, reader, and Red Sox fan. This is her first year with the IDEA Council and she is thrilled to be a part of the important work of ensuring every voice is heard in consumer research.

Mandy Triplett, based in Mandeville, Louisiana, has been thriving in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry since 2017. With a Ph.D. in Research, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment from the University of Southern Mississippi, along with a Master's in College Counseling and Student Affairs Administration and a Bachelor's in Psychology, Mandy brings a rich academic background to her role. She currently serves as the Manager of Shopper Insights for North America at WK Kellogg Co., where she combines analytical expertise with a deep passion for understanding the why behind consumer behavior. Beyond her professional role, Mandy leads community impact efforts for the Women of WK Kellogg Co. and actively participates in several employee resource groups, championing inclusivity and authenticity in the workplace. Her advocacy for inclusion in research is deeply personal, shaped by her own journey with dyslexia. Outside of work, Mandy enjoys life as a proud boy mom, spending time by the water, strumming her guitar, and diving into true crime stories. Her multifaceted life and dedication to fostering understanding and belonging make her a dynamic leader and advocate both professionally and personally.

Ms. Walker is a doctoral candidate with over 30 years of research and insights experience, skilled in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. She is especially enthusiastic about conducting interviews, moderating focus groups, and facilitating discussions. Her expertise spans customer experience measurement, marketplace intelligence, new product development, and marketing communications evaluation. She is an ardent advocate for inclusion within the research process and is dedicated to amplifying marginalized voices. This commitment is reflected in her work as a contributor to the design of training programs for inclusive research practices, researching more inclusive ways of asking gender identity and race/ethnicity questions, being a mentor for Women in Research, and as a volunteer researcher for the Insights Career Network. Ms. Walker is pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership at Capella University, where her capstone research explores psychological safety in diverse teams. She holds a Master of Marketing Research from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and is a RIVA-certified Master Moderator.
