Three-part Series: The Fundamentals of Survey Questionnaire Design and Data Analysis
Series Description: Survey research depends on sound questionnaire design and analysis. This three-part webinar series will cover the fundamentals of each part of the survey design and analysis process, and will provide attendees with a grounded understanding of how to compose and analyze surveys. Topics covered will include the appropriate selection of survey data collection methodologies, response and measurement biases, respondent engagement, structuring analysis, presenting survey results and much more. The series is divided into three parts: part one will include a comprehensive overview of survey questionnaire design, part two will focus on survey data analysis, and part three will provide a question and answer “summit” where attendees can ask questions and receive guidance from the expert presenters in the series.
Part 1 of 3: Fundamentals of Questionnaire Design
One common expression in survey design is “garbage in, garbage out.” It’s saying researchers use to underscore the importance of carefully crafting survey questionnaires. This session will focus on the most important aspects of questionnaire design, including common forms of bias and error in survey measurement, as well as critical points in respondent engagement. Participants will learn how to avoid the most common pitfalls in questionnaire design while maintaining a high level of respondent participation.
