Vanessa has more than 15 years of research and consumer insights experience across media, tech, and apparel. She currently heads up the insights practice for VF’s Outdoor Coalition of brands, including The North Face, Smartwool, Jansport and Icebreaker.
She has spent her entire career trying to get out of the office as often as possible, taking clients hostage wherever she can, to get inspired by new people, environments, and points of view.
She is passionate about translating the consumer voice in order to drive change within large organizations, and to create new brand experiences that better address consumers' pain points and desires.
In July 2019, she will transition from VF and launch Outsight – a strategic consultancy focused on these passions and beliefs.
Her research specialties include: Ethnography, Participatory Design and other design-thinking methods, Ideation and Workshops, Moderation, Scenario Planning and Macro Trends, Concept ideation and refinement, Consultation and Strategy, Shopper Insights and Segmentation.
