Tom is the Founder and CEO of mobile video survey platform, mindswarms.
He has an extensive background in untraditional qualitative research and strategy in advertising and product design.
Most notably, Tom introduced the discipline of account planning to the Nike account at Wieden + Kennedy in Portland, OR. He went on to lead strategic planning on Apple @TBWA Chiat/Day, and Yahoo! at Black Rocket.
In 2003, Tom founded design and brand strategy firm Bassett & Partners. B&P works with influential global brands including Nike's Innovation Kitchen, Google and Sonos; and design agencies including fuse project, MNML and IDEO.
In 2011, mindswarms went live. Mindswarms value proposition is it answers the WHY to big data's WHAT. Mindswarms has completed studies in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Its clients include F500 brands and leading creative agencies; assignment typically are in Brand/Marcom, Design or R&D based.
