Tanya Pinto is a strategic marketer with international experience and a proven track record of uncovering powerful consumer insights. Currently a Director in Microsoft's Research + Insights team, Tanya brings strategic consulting and storytelling to help land consumer insights that influence business and marketing strategies.

Prior to Microsoft, Tanya started her career at The Richards Group, the largest independent branding/ad agency in the US and worked in Brand Management for over 13 years, after which she started her own boutique consulting practice, Shakti Consulting, advising CEOs and senior leaders of consumer brands and NGOs.

Energetic, efficient, poised and professional – Tanya’s analytical skills have helped to create strong brand platforms that have resulted in significant revenue growth, culture change and compelling value propositions.

A global citizen and a committed humanitarian, Tanya has traveled to over 50 countries, lived and worked in over 20 countries and is passionate about working with diverse cultures.

Tanya founded Baal Dan Charities (which means Donation to Children in Hindi) in 2005 and Food Mission - Serving Hope, in 2016, with the mission of supporting impoverished children (mostly orphans and street children) in developing countries. Tanya has raised almost $2 Million to provide aid to over 12,000 children in 12 developing countries through food, supplies, education and numerous other grassroots programs. A few accomplishments include: building a school for 150 children, providing aid to over 20 orphanages and feeding over 1,000 children daily.
