Matt is the Managing Director of Cranbrook Search Consultants bringing more than 20 years of experience in research and analysis to this position. He and the Cranbrook Search team have partnered with a wide range of companies (‘client-side’ and agencies) to identify, recruit, and hire professionals for a variety of marketing and insights roles.
Prior to forming Cranbrook Search in 2009, Matt was an insights practitioner with experience on the ‘client-side’ and as an insights consultant. At General Motors, Matt served as a market research manager and analyst for several programs including the original GM Electric Vehicle and the GM Credit Card. As the Market Research Manager at Cadillac, Matt was responsible for all research and analysis during the brand’s vital repositioning.
In 2000, Matt was recruited by J.D. Power and Associates to work in the Automotive Practice as a Senior Account Director. Matt transitioned into a full-service market research role as a VP of Business Development at MTI, where he conducted several large-scale communications strategy research programs across several categories (including CPG, automotive, home improvement, and travel). Since 2011, Matt has served on the Advisory Board for the MSMR program at Michigan State University, his alma mater where he holds a BA in Economics and an MBA in Marketing. Matt is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps (Captain).
