John develops and drives national LGBT marketing strategy across Wells Fargo’s multiple regions and lines of business. Prior to Wells Fargo, he served for eight years as Corporate Development Director for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America’s largest LGBT advocacy organization. At HRC he led their national corporate sponsorship program, developing strategic partnerships with some of the world’s biggest brands to build support for HRC’s mission of LGBT equality. Before moving to the non-profit side, John ran his own company, Open Door Marketing, and headed client services at the Isosceles Group – both agencies focused on respectfully connecting brands to LGBT consumers. He also spent over a decade working for traditional advertising agencies, including DDB Worldwide in San Francisco, and The Sachs Group in Los Angeles. At The Sachs Group, an agency specializing in kids’ products, his team unleashed both the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers on an unsuspecting world.
