George, the founder of Electric Insights, has worked in the most senior roles for the NPD Group, Toluna, and Harris Interactive during his career in market research. He's also served as a board or advisory group member for organizations such as the National Academy of Sciences, the US Department of Education, the Advertising Research Foundation, the British Polling Council, the American Association for Public Opinion Research, the Insights Association (formerly, CASRO), and the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research. Earlier in his career, he taught and coached in public and private elementary and secondary schools. The basketball teams he helped to coach at the Episcopal Academy in Philadelphia won three league titles and had an overall record of 75-6.
George holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree from Harvard, and his undergraduate degree from Haverford College. His academic expertise lies in educing the practical implications of statistical and analytical advances. His work is published in several refereed journals, including the Journal of Advertising Research, Public Opinion Quarterly, and the Journal of Survey Statistics and Methodology.
