Ann currently supports www.insightsassociation.org, is the IT liaison, leads digital marketing creative and strategy, analytics work, and provides various other technical and creative contributions for the Insights Association.
Previously, she worked for TechSmith, the makers of Snagit and Camtasia. During her eight years there, she worked on the Web, UX, and Marketing teams in a variety of roles -- occasionally at the same time. Some of her UI work is still available in Snagit. She also met her husband, Mike there in 2004.
Before TechSmith, Ann was trainer who traveled the state of Michigan teaching computer skills to state employees. She added more than 75 classes to her repertoire in less than three years, including specialized classes new to the schedule: Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and Illustrator. She also wrote several training manuals for HTML and Photoshop classes. In addition, she learned life skills like how to carry ten laptops and ten workbooks up many flights of stairs in heels, how to drive on the Mackinac Bridge without having a panic attack, and to always put a broom in her car for snow in addition to a scraper during the winter.
While in college, Ann served as an Americorps*VISTA, managing six after-school tutoring program sites for over 140 K-5 at-risk students, 40 at-risk teens to tutor those students involved with program, as well as 6 MSU students per semester to supervise individual sites.
Ann graduated cum laude from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Art. She won the Ralf Hendrickson Award for Painting and was a member of several honor societies, including Tower Guard, an invitation-only volunteer group for the top academic five percent of MSU incoming freshman.
When not working, Ann enjoys traveling anywhere, yoga, skiing, and any random exercise class she finds near her home in Denver. Ann has lived in Michigan, New York City, London (as an exchange student), and most recently, Washington, D.C. and Denver, Colorado with her husband and animals.
