Smarty Pants announced that Alexandria (Quillin) Brizendine has been promoted to the role of senior research analyst. Brizendine joined the organization in July of 2017 as a research associate and was promoted to research analyst in August 2018. This is her second promotion in her three-year tenure at the youth and family-focused market research firm.
Brizendine serves a pivotal—and expanding—role in the leadership of consumer research for many of Smarty Pants’ premier retail, healthcare and technology clients, namely Target, Aetna/CVS and Microsoft. Her responsibilities range from developing and moderating digital communities to creation of “insights documentaries” for end clients.
“Alex is a rare find in the research world. She masterfully blends deep consumer empathy with methodological precision and design savvy. She has a natural talent for creating consumer-centric research tools and client-centric deliverables. We are thrilled by her continued growth and proud to recognize her career advancement,” states Smarty Pants president, Wynne Tyree.
Prior to Smarty Pants, Brizendine flexed her creative and account management muscle at The High Road Agency, a digital marketing firm based in Johnson City, TN. There, she excelled at copywriting, conducting social media strategy research, facilitating training workshops, and speaking at business events. She leverages those talents as Smarty Pants’ in-house social media expert when she is not supporting custom research initiatives.
Brizendine is a magna cum laude graduate of East Tennessee State University with a degree in mass communications and advertising. She is based in Greenville, SC.
