NY – Assembly Member William Colton (D-47) introduced A.B. 1636, which would require reporting by “manufacturers or labelers of prescription drugs” to report marketing expenses to health care providers of more than 75 dollars, including “(B) all expenses associated with food, entertainment and gifts valued at more than seventy-five dollars, and anything provided to a health care professional for less than market value” and “(C) all expenses associated with trips and travel”.

Given that incentives for health care providers participating in marketing research studies could be included, MRA will seek to amend or defeat A.B. 1636.
