Longtime market research executive and industry consultant Hilary Fischer has been engaged by the Insights Association to provide expert assistance to its 12 chapters. A former President and Board member of the Insights Association (formerly MRA) Greater NY Chapter, Fischer was appointed to the newly created position of Director of Chapter Engagement as a staff consultant, dedicated to supporting the Chapters and assisting leaders with implementing the Association’s new Chapter Partnership Agreement.

Fischer continues to operate her New York-based company, HJF Consulting, which offers support to market research organizations in the areas of data privacy and compliance management, operational effectiveness, leadership/sales training and market expansion/growth.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Hilary and tap her wealth of experience at this exciting juncture for our association and its Chapters,” said David W. Almy, CEO of the Insights Association.

To best optimize the synergies created by the merger of CASRO and MRA, the Insights Association has launched an expansive initiative to increase support for its Chapters in 2018, Almy explained. This includes a new Chapter funding strategy and the Insights Association Chapter Partnership Agreement, which defines resources, training and tools the association will provide to the Chapters, including many that are new.

“Central to this work is our passionate belief that our Chapters can make an essential contribution to our members' success,” Almy added. This is even more important, he noted, because the number of individuals enrolled in Chapters has doubled since the Insights Association formed in January.

“As a volunteer and former Chapter leader myself, I know first-hand how important the local touchpoint with the Association can be to our members,” Fischer said. “For many, the Chapters are the lifeblood of the organization. Ensuring that Chapter leaders receive the support they need must always be a priority. I look forward to working with our Chapter leaders to help build on their current successes.”

Fischer has more than two decades of experience within the healthcare research industry, most recently with SHC, where she served as Chief Revenue and Strategy Officer. Previously, she was COO United States at All Global and Vice President, Global Operations at Kantar Health.

For more than a decade Fischer has been active with the Insights Association (formerly MRA), Greater NY Chapter. She served on the GNY Board as Director at Large, Treasurer and President; headed local committees on event planning, site selection and programming; served on the National Board of Directors; and chaired National workgroups on membership/chapter relations, and education. She received the Chapter Service Award (2005), Shining Star Award (2008), and Distinguished Service Award (2011).

Fischer is an alumna of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where she earned a Master of Science in Television-Radio and a Bachelor of Science in Advertising.
