Dan Foreman (he/his) has joined the Advisory Board of research localization agency EMPOWER Translate as Non-Executive Director, where he advises on growth, revenue and business development.
With a BSc in Psychology and Pure Mathematics from the University of Leicester, and a keen interest in market research and data analytics, Foreman began his career at Research International (a daughter company of WPP) in 1995. He progressed to Kantar Added Value (WPP) and before taking on a series of senior client, advertising and consulting roles.
In 2005, Foreman became the first non-US employee of insight software company FocusVision, in the position of Managing Director for EMEA and APAC, and was instrumental in leading the company from family-owned business to a PE portfolio company. Following this success, Foreman moved into entrepreneurship and investment.
In 2011, Foreman joined the global membership organization for researchers, ESOMAR, as a council member. In 2013, he made insight industry history by becoming the first elected ESOMAR President to be under 40 years old, and under 50 years old. During that time, he established the ESOMAR foundation, a self-sustaining, charitable arm of the association that provides support to researchers in need around the world.
Foreman has received a number of accolades, including the prestigious American Marketing Association ‘4 under 40’ award, the 2017 Ginny Valentine Badge of Courage and the Insights Association Disruptive Innovator MR Change Agent of the Year. He is also founder of TEDxRoyalTunbridgeWells.
Foreman currently holds a number of Non-Executive Director roles, and is Chair of the Board of Directors for social listening consultancy, Bakamo.Social, and for innovation testing platform agency, Zappi. He is a Member of the Board of Directors for Market Research Institute International and a Member of the Advisory Board for Merlien Institute. Foreman is also founder and director of Hatted, a business consulting company.
