Maine Rep. Meredith N. Strang Burgess (R-Cumberland) introduced H.P. 530 (L.D. 719), which would repeal most of Maine's pharmaceutical disclosure law, including the reporting requirements for payments to physicians for participation in marketing research studies (which keep pharmaceutical manufacturers from sponsoring marketing research with physicians in Maine).

MRA has offered its support to the sponsor, and the members of the Joint Health and Human Services Committee in advance of tomorrow's scheduled public hearing on the bill.
