CIRQ, an International Standards Organization (ISO) audit and certification body that is a subsidiary of the Insights Association, has announced that M3 Global Research has been recertified to the ISO 20252:2019 Standard—Market, opinion and social research, including insights and data analytics.
This marks the second CIRQ-certified company to have gained initial certification under the previous ISO 20252 framework and be recertified under the new standard. ISO 20252 was updated and streamlined in 2019 to be more relevant to current market research stakeholder needs and include new data practices, ethical requirements, and additional updated clauses on data management security that align with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). ISO 20252:2019 establishes globally recognized terms, definitions, and service requirements for project management in research organizations. Processes outlined in ISO 20252:2019 are designed to produce transparent, consistent, well-documented and error-free methods of conducting and managing research projects.
M3 is a market, opinion, and social research organization which operates panels of healthcare providers in the US, Asia, and Europe and provides market research recruitment and support services. Reaching respondents in more than 70 countries worldwide, M3 provides data collection and project management capabilities that cover a wide spectrum of quantitative and qualitative techniques and employ advanced statistical and attitudinal methodologies.
M3 Global Research’s CEO Anton Richter said: “We are delighted and proud that CIRQ has again recognized M3 Global Research’s dedication to high quality. The ISO 20252:2019 standard audit is an exhaustive and very rigorous investigation, and this recertification includes QQFS for the first time, evidencing our commitment to market research excellence across the M3 family.”
The certification covers M3’s offices in Fort Washington, PA, USA, London, UK, and an additional office: Göteborg (Gothenburg), Sweden (QQFS). Services covered are sampling, including access panels, fieldwork, self-completion, and data management and processing to be attested to in accordance with Annexes A, B, E, and F of ISO 20252:2019.
“Conducting such an extensive and detailed certification audit with the considerable restrictions in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic was no easy task,” commented Juliana Wood, Managing Director of CIRQ. “Full credit goes to the teams at M3 and CIRQ’s auditor, who accomplished this audit 100% remotely.” CIRQ will conduct the remainder of its 2020 audits remotely to ease any pressure clients might feel about preparing for and executing an on-site audit. “We want to make the audit process as smooth as possible,” Wood explained, “Our remote audit strategy has been proven viable and we are currently conducting additional remote audits in various regions.”
