Escalent announced Laura Lopez as the firm’s new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Lopez will lead the global team of human resources (HR) professionals responsible for ensuring that Escalent has best-in-class talent strategies and providing support to attract, recruit and retain a diverse workforce. She will join the company’s Executive Committee and report into CEO Melissa Sauter.

Lopez joins Escalent with two decades in HR and leadership, most recently having worked at TELUS Agriculture as Vice President, People and Culture where she led a global team focused on integrating 12 businesses in people and culture programs.
Her additional roles include serving as Vice President of Talent and Culture at AFS Technologies and working at 4th Source, a technology consulting service, where she led a global team and developed automated talent acquisition programs. Lopez has also held HR leadership positions across hospitality, healthcare and non-profit sectors where rapid scaling was instrumental in propelling business forward and maintaining a high-growth environment.
Lopez graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language. She also holds a Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI).
