The Insights Association has formed an International Chapter to provide enhanced service and support for member companies and individual members operating outside of the United States. It is the Association’s 12th chapter and first outside the U.S.

“It’s increasingly ordinary for our members to think and work globally,” noted David W. Almy, CEO of the Insights Association. “Providing them with a network experienced in international markets, legal and business issues such as cross-border data transfer will be a key benefit,” he added. At least 150 Insights Association member companies already operate outside the U.S. and almost 250 individual members are based outside the U.S.

To add to the new International Chapter’s ranks, the Insights Association has proposed that members of the Alliance of International Market Research Institutes (AIMRI) also join the new chapter. Tony Dent, chairman of AIMRI, said “AIMRI members have voted overwhelmingly to become founding members of the new International Chapter. I am delighted that members have confirmed the AIMRI Council’s belief that direct access to the vibrant U.S. market can only benefit their businesses both commercially and professionally.” AIMRI was originally founded in 1991 and has 80 members from 27 countries, some of whom already are members of the Insights Association.

Insights Association Chair Simon Chadwick added, “We are pleased to welcome the members of AIMRI into the Insights Association and its new International Chapter. These companies and individuals represent many nations, have a breadth of expertise in the field, and a collegial spirit that will provide a solid addition from which our new Chapter will continue to grow. I’m further delighted that the new International Chapter’s Board of Directors will include Anne Tancredi Brown, CEO and Principal of Gazelle Global, and James Endersby, Managing Director & Partner at Opinium, as well as others to be named.”

The creation of an International Chapter builds upon the global network the Insights Association already enjoys through its involvement with the Global Research Business Network (GRBN). “An expanded presence internationally will help us be a more valuable and involved partner with GRBN and the 40 national associations it brings together,” Almy said.

Like its sister Chapters in the U.S., the International Chapter will host informational and networking events and serve as a conduit through which members will learn of developments that may potentially impact their global marketing research and analytics work. The Chapter will have its own forum in the Insights Association’s Engage online community, enabling anytime, secure information sharing and collaboration among members, a new quarterly newsletter as well as other benefits.

The new Chapter also will play a key role in producing a CEO Summit in London, tentatively scheduled for March, 2018. This event will be produced in partnership with the Market Research Society (MRS) and is co-chaired by Merrill Dubrow, President & CEO of M/A/R/C Research; Steve Schlesinger, CEO of Schlesinger Associates; and Dan Foreman, who holds leadership roles at several market research companies including ZappiStore (Chairman), Dalia, Borderless Access and Voxpopme. It will be the Insights Association’s first event outside the U.S.

Members of the Insights Association may join the International Chapter via an email request to membership@insightsassociation.org.
